Bulguksa

A long time ago, there was a wealthy guy named Kim Dea Sung near Pusan. He was a sincere Buddhist and he built Bulguksa temple for his present parents and Seokguram for his past parents. He even built a temple for the bear he hunted. A lot of stonemasons were brought in to build this huge temple and they cut off all the relationship to their real lives and created beautiful stone artifacts with all their might. However, there was a sad myth that their wives came to Lotus Pond to wait for their husbands' faces to be reflected on the water. The Seokguram, which is said to be the perfection of art, contains the Four Devas and the Eight General statues. Especially, it is said that a mysterious technique was used to maintain the original shape of the main Buddha located in the deepest part and its chamber. Moreover, a jewel called 'The Buddha's Eye' placed on the forehead can be the core of the mystery in Seokguram.
