Meticulously constructed by the great Greek architect Daedalus on orders from Queen Pasiphae, the Cretan Labyrinth was built with maze-like passageways and extremely durable materials that even giants could not break, all to keep dangerous creatures trapped within. Upon its completion, Queen Pasiphae lured in and locked up her son, Prince Minotaurus, in the deepest part of the maze. The prince was born monstrous, appearing half-man and half-bull, because Queen Pasiphae was infected with the evil of the apostles of darkness while she was pregnant.
