Lost Volcano Valley

This remote valley, deep in a mountain range in central Russia, connects to other regions only through a single passageway. But during the Ice Age, that passage was completely blocked off, which led to a totally different ecosystem taking hold in the valley: active volcanoes spitting out fire induced a climate of searing heat, unlike the surrounding environs always covered with snow. The apostles of darkness saw the potential for evil in the valley's volcanic energy, and they also led the dragons and giants that lived in the region away from their quiet and private existences to lives of violence.
