A once thriving people that had mastered the use of machines were yet another civilization to be destroyed under Atlantis' march for world domination. But their technology was so advanced that even the powerful magic of Atlantis could not stop their machines from operating. Even now mechanical creatures continue to roam around this shrine, with no modern technology able to explain how this could be, except for one possibility: the energy of the "four crystals" could be supplying the power to these machines. There are structures within the shrine that suggest the four crystals can be found all over this site, which was clearly of great importance to these machine-oriented people.
