Hi-

Im a lvl 91 SwordM, with mercs all between lvl84-86 (i know they are a little behind, but im working on it). They are all fully upgraded for their lvl. I do mostly PvE, but want to get into TBS

my formation is as follows:

Vik->SwordM->BT
Witch->Gun->Arty
Proph->Ora->Monk

I know i want to replace my gunner with a jani, and i want to get rid of my monk for something. Will probably switch out proph for emp when i can. I dont do IM and dont have enough money for those mercs, so those are out of the question. because im sword main, and his Def is fairly high, i dont know if i need an LK. As far as my Arty goes, i like DI enough to not want to switch him to a cannoneer, but would it still be a good idea?

My main question is, for the near future, what would be my best option for mercs?

I am on a USA server btw

Thank you :D
Rhomb

Sword main is easily the worst main in TBS, I guess. You gonna need an uber Christine to make up for that :)

If you pick shield bash then you're not that bad in TBS. But yeah, you lack damage output.
Arltylery is a very good PvE merc (his DI rules even at 130, if you still do regular pve).
oracle is a must for TBS, Elementalist and Guan are awesome for pve, pvp, skirmish.
Witch is a main damage dealer in TBS untill like... 1
120lvl tbses. She mostly takes out all monsters in 5x5 area in one hit.
Also remember to have blessing potions ready for TBS ( you can turn them on and off in Character tab.

for swordM best choise is Sheriff(chistine) + oracle
or as you told previosly can't aford on her
then canoner with high + weapon
or jani with +4/6 weapon

in tbs with +3 merc you could add druid to BS your main and range
OR witch/sorcerer
OR get 2nd canoner or 2nd jani

monk is very usefull in pvp/ normal pve. dont dupm him get prem. room lic. and swich him with ora when you need him

Cool-

right now i have the summons for sorc and druid waiting. Just turned lvl96 and got my jani to 85 (he is already much better than my lvl95 gunner). I will keep my monk in store room, but right now his only use is SoP (i know i shouldnt have gotten that with sword main, but dont want to change it) my main takes hardly any damage as it is, so SoP doesnt do much. was thinking of getting a general and champion too. So my formation would then probably become

Ody->Sword(M)->Druid
Guan->Jani->Arty
Sorc->Ora->???

Not sure what to put in ???. Hwarang maybe so i can have a bow in there somewhere, otherwise id keep my proph there for concentrate. will not do any IM mercs unless they get cheaper in game, but that wont happen.

Odds are im going to try to get most the mercs, and the ones i dont use, store in home or merc room, but will take a while to get most.

Thanks for everyone who has and does help :)
