 Post subject: Need opinions on magic spike/snipe team

my basic tactic is hellflame+requiem+curse of the strings (it hurts alot lol)

and if i was against a musi(m) or ministrel, i'd put hwarang on "x" cuz salv is a complete counter to my combo

otherwise, idk what to put >.>

another thing is i wanted to try switching to bowM since a defensive perma midrow HG also kinda counters my combo, being bowM gives me a normal Atk snipe as well, then i'll prolly have this form

x - sword - druid
sham - monk - rin
vamp - bowM - empress

"x" could be princess, but idk.

and backrow BS seems nice :D

any ideas? :D

First of all, yeah, I think the idea sounds good (the one with bow main). It's well-balanced, however there's this problem that your Hell Flame will not be the strongest one possible, since you're lacking a Champion to boost the damage with Weapon Rend. Also, you might think about what you should do when your 2 bows get signet-ed and there's HG to prevent your Hell Flame.

Another thing I'd like to add is why don't you try to change to StaffM or SwordM instead ? That way you can ditch Shaman/Swordsman and use another merc there. Moreover, you'll get Guard Dispel for "free", which can never hurt.

does weapon rend really increase hellflame damage by that much?

and, i like musi more cuz requiem+hellflame+curse is not dispellable by HG, u HAVE to have a salv, and musi has a salv too

with swordM, his main purpose will only to spam darkseed, which makes him rather useless, i'd rather have a semi tanky D sword merc in front line, and when he's about to die, i can double deadly strike.

with staffM... staffM sucks :D lol

with the double bow thing, signets won't affect me much cuz it will only reduce my physical snipe, and i can still HG it. i still have hellflame+curse of the strings

Tho, ody might be useful cuz shieldbash+curse of the strings + double bow snipe hurts lol

I'm not sure about the exact percentage boost, but you can treat Hell Flame just like other Sword skills, so maybe a +200% damage ?

Well, all I want to say is that Requiem + Hell Flame + Curse is a difficult combo to use in reality, you need 4 activations for it, which is often an unrealistic target. Moreover, in terms of damage, I think a BowM can snipe one target even better than Requiem + Curse of String.

No. He can use an uber Flame Sword to front-spike, Guard Dispel to help control or Chaos Edge to put some stun pressure. Well, you get the picture.

It's okay if you don't like StaffM, but I believe they're one of the better mains in the game.

Shield Bash is nice to keep a merc from guarding, however Def reduction doesn't work so well in PvP.
