It was once so simple...
But Paris had the patronage of Aphrodite, and the other gods jealously took the side of the Achaeans, drawing this war out longer and longer.

I wish the Atlantians had never come to us. I wish I'd never heard their promises of power strong enough to end the war.
If only I'd listened to Hector, who opposed the idea. But Paris and I were weary from battle. It seemed so perfect...
I had no choice.
I just wanted to end this war.

The Atlantians were true to their word. Their power strengthed our armies many times over. Victory seemed so close.
However, the gods have turned their back on us.
And those of our men who have taken Atlantis' power are showing signs of madness.

The gods have abandoned us for taking up this unknown power.
A power that not even the gods dare touch? What evil have I unleashed upon my people?
