Location: Near Baghdad
1.Wake Up!
Hold on there, a special energy seems to emanate from you. Would you care to stay awhile and listen?
I am Marduk. Although I was once a Chief General, my current state does a terrible offense to this noble title.
In the distant past, Tiamat gravely injured me in a tumultuous battle. I long to leave this place, but I must remain here until I can fulfill my final duties.
Long ago, unbeknownst to all, Tiamat harbored a vile, secretive ambition to enslave all humanity by becoming a god.
Without warning, she began wreaking indescribable havoc upon this once peaceful land.
By some twist of faith, our army narrowly succeeded in defeating that treacherous beast.
Our citizens rejoiced over the news of Tiamat's demise, but our victory would be short-lived.
Tiamat miraculously revived, becoming even more powerful than before.
Immediate action must be taken before she begins her reign with the slaughter of innocent lives. Please, lend me your strength!
~
We must inform everyone of Tiamat's ominous rebirth...
If we can spread the news to as far as Cairo, that should allow everyone adequate time to evacuate or begin preparations.
Please go to Cairo.
Were you able to inform everyone of the news?
Good work. It is critical for them to know the truth.
Reward:
- Experience: 15,000
- Gold: 20,000
Now I've done everything I've got to do.
2.Liberating the Slaves
Now, we can begin our plans on bringing Tiamat's machinations to an end.
This time, our victory will be ensured!
~
To reduce her power, we must first eliminate the legions of Tiamat's slaves.
Please go to the eastern region of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and kill 20 Slave Archers.
HINT: You can find the Slave Archers in the Eastern Region.
Thank you very much.
The reduced numbers of Slave Soliders has substantially weakened Tiamat.
Reward:
- Experience: 25,000
- Gold: 30,000
I've done what I've got to do.
3.Architecture of Airborne Garden
I've had a long and turbulent history with Tiamat.
Even after all these years, we are still sworn enemies, bitterly blinded by our hatred of each other...
In another life, I hope Tiamat and I shall be allies instead.
~
Once, I attempted to discover a shortcut inside the Hanging Garden in order to destroy Tiamat. But I soon gave up as I could not find my way around.
Figuring out the layout of the Hanging Garden would prove to be a vital advantage for us. Try to make a map of the Hanging Garden.
Hint: My Info->Skills->Quest Crafting.
Is this the map of the Hanging Garden? It stretches across a rather large expanse.
Worthy adventurer, you have my thanks.
Reward:
- Experience: 20,000
- Gold: 20,000
I've done what I've got to do.
4.Priestesses of Ishtar
However daunting the task may seem, we can surely weaken Tiamat by destroying her followers, one by one.
The first order of business is destroying her closest followers.
~
Go to the central area and find the Priestesses of Ishtar who are subserviant followers of Tiamat.
Defeating 30 of them would be a good start.
HINT: You can find the Priestesses of Ishtar in the Central Region.
Your prompt return truly aids us in this battle against time.
Adventurer, your efforts will not be in vain.
Reward:
- Experience: 25,000
- Gold: 30,000
I've done what I had to do.
5.Cut off Tiamat's Right Hand Man
It seems like ages since I last defeated Tiamat.
But I can still recall how she close she was to the brink of death, how furiously her wounds bled...
Just as I was about to deliver Tiamat the killing blow, the Keyshas abruptly thwarted my actions.
I did not finish her off as I figured that she would eventually die of her injuries. Oh, how I was wrong!
No matter what I do, I can't erase the foolishness of my actions.
~
Still, it's not too late to defeat the Keyshas and stop Tiamat.
The Keyshas will prove to be no match for your sheer strength.
Go to the Terrace of Light, defeat Keyshas and Monstrous Keyshas, and retrieve 30 [Keysha Feathers].
When it comes to enlisting in the help of talented individuals, my instincts are never wrong.
Thanks to you, we are much closer to bringing back peace to this land.
I've done what I've got to do.
6.Taking a Break
From the looks of it, it seems that you're suffering from exhaustion.
...
You must rest and regain your strength so that you can live to fight another battle.
~
I must apologize for all the favors I impose on you.
Let us enjoy some Roasted Mutton. To fully regain your strength, you should eat 7 of them.
How do you feel? Isn't your exhaustion just ebbing away?
Excellent. You'll make an astonishing recovery in no time.
Reward:
- Experience: 15,000
- Gold: 20,000
I've done what I've got to do.
7.Irrational Gatekeeper
Be prepared. From now on, things will become increasingly difficult.
If you believe the previous tasks were too challenging, then I would advise you to quit this moment.
Humbaba is a brutal gatekeeper who is an abominable creation of Tiamat.
He was originally the guardian of the towering trees in the Hanging Gardens.
~
It's evident that Humbaba has lost his way from being manipulated by evil forces.
Go now, and take a Piece of Cedar Tree from him so that he can be reminded of his true responsibilities.
Were you able to return him to his rightful duties?
He showed no response?
Unfortunately, this means he has lost the ability to reason, becoming irrational.
Hmm... This is troubling news.
Reward:
- Experience: 15,000
- Gold: 30,000
I've done what I've got to do.
8.Stone of Destiny
This must be Tiamat's doing.
She was once a creature guided by righteousness, but now power has corrupted and tainted her mind.
Take extreme precaution when facing her. Before you leave, be sure to heed my advice.
You cannot defeat Tiamat without taking the Stone of Destiny.
While it greatly enhances one's abilities, it also causes unbearable pain when used by normal human beings.
I'm unable to use the stone as I have not fully healed yet. Perhaps you can take it.
~
This is all I can give you as of now.
The stone will improve your patience and intensify your courage.
If this does not kill you, you will only become much stronger.
However, I am wary of the consequences since I could not use the stone myself.
I'm simply giving it to you with the hope that you will succeed.
Marvelous... I could not have asked for a better outcome.
Although you must have experienced a great deal of pain, you managed to pull through.
Well? Do you feel more courageous?
I've done what I've got to do.
9.The Final Battle
My life has been devoted to eradicating the world of Tiamat's malevolence.
But the seriousness of my injuries has robbed me of my strength and my chances of defeating her.
Even worse, Tiamat continues to grow stronger. I should have finished her off when I had the chance...
~
Truly, fate brought us together in order to bring an end to Tiamat's immeasurable malice.
Proceed with caution. She awaits you at Tiamat's Palace.
Tiamat has finally been defeated... I am forever indebted to you.
Please take these items as a paltry token of my appreciation. It pales in comparison to the immense bravery you have displayed.
Good luck to you in your future endeavors. As your strength continues to increase, your future will grow ever brighter.
I've done what I've got to do.
