TBS

TBS

[Tactical Battle System Basics]

* Each character can move and take one action every turn.
Actions include Basic Attacks and using magic.
(There is no Action Power in TBS.)

* When it is a character's turn to move, green squares display indicating how far the character can go.
A character can only move before she has taken her action that turn.

* Red circles indicate the range the character can attack. It displays after your character has moved or when you hold down the Ctrl key.
Different characters have different attack Ranges.

* If you move the mouse curser to a square in movement range and hold the Ctrl key, the character's Range will be displayed from that square.

* If you are able to move and the monster is close enough, you can attack the monster by clicking on it. Your character will move the minimum necessary distance and attack it.

* Each spell has a different effective range. If you press a spell's shortcut key, its range will be displayed. If a monster is in range, you can simply right-click to use the magic registered to shortcut key Q.

* When a spell is selected, it's range is shown in light blow and area of effect in dark blue. The area of effect follows the mouse cursor.

* Press ESC or right-click to cancel magic.

* If you want to set a trap during battle, you need to have one in your inventory.

* A weather display in the upper-right indicates the direction and strength of the wind and the weather.
Fires spread faster when the wind gets stronger, and continuous rain will trigger floods.

* If you don't perform any actions for 3 turns, you will automatically retreat from the battle.
